GRANIT presents 1500th Jaltest Diagnostic Device to STRABAG BMTI Training Workshop

The STRABAG BMTI training workshop in Bebra in the state of Hesse has taken delivery of the 1500th Jaltest diagnostic device from GRANIT. Michael Schindler, Key Account Manager for the Construction Machinery Division at GRANIT, presented the device to Ulli Grebe from the STRABAG BMTI training workshop on 6th June. Prospective construction machinery mechatronics technicians will now learn how to use the multi-brand diagnostic device during their training. The device, activation and software were sponsored by GRANIT and Cojali, the developer and manufacturer of the diagnostic tool.

By sponsoring the Jaltest diagnostic device, GRANIT and partner Cojali are supporting the professional training of agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technicians. A total of 28 Jaltest multi-brand diagnostic sets are already in use at STRABAG. The multi-brand and multi-system diagnostic tool is used to carry out diagnostics and maintenance tasks on construction machinery, commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery. “Vehicles from numerous different brands are used on our construction sites,” explains Thomas Damm from STRABAG BMTI. “Even though we have a mixed vehicle fleet, we need diagnostics operations in our workshops to be as simple as possible. Instead of using multiple manufacturer-specific diagnostic systems, we prefer to use a single system that’s suitable for different machine brands. The Jaltest multi-brand diagnostic device helps us to save costs and valuable time, plus it reduces the amount of training required.”

Another convincing argument for the Jaltest diagnostic set is the cloud storage of repair data. “This allows STRABAG BMTI employees to access the repair and maintenance history from any location and at any time - an important feature especially for vehicles and machines such as forklifts, wheel loaders and lifting platforms that are used in multiple locations,” explains Michael Schindler, Key Account Manager for the Construction Machinery Division at GRANIT. STRABAG BMTI employees across Germany have received training from GRANIT specialists, and the acquisition of further Jaltest equipment for STRABAG BMTI sites both in Germany and further afield is already being planned.
