The "FRICKE Social Engagement" initiative has been supporting social commitment in the region as well as clubs, institutions and initiatives from the fields of education and sport for several years.
FRICKE Social Day
In 2016, the FRICKE Social Day was created out of the awareness of wanting to give something back to society and the region. Within the framework of this project, the trainees of the FRICKE Group support social facilities, institutions and associations from the region for one day a year in implementing a wide variety of projects. In this way the FRICKE Group not only gives something back to the region, but the trainees also broaden their horizons.
Every year, all social institutions and associations in the vicinity of the FRICKE Group locations can apply with their projects.
Awarding scholarships
In order to counteract the lack of skilled workers and social injustice in the FRICKE Group, we have been offering our employees the "Fachlagerist" scholarship program since 2018. With this program, unskilled employees can acquire a recognized training qualification and create a solid basis for their further professional development. Due to the great success of the scholarship program, in 2020 the FRICKE Group is offering a scholarship for the subsequent further training "Warehouse Logistics Specialist" for the first time.
Interested employees from the logistics departments of Wilhelm Fricke SE or Heeslinger Logistik can submit their application documents for the scholarship to the personnel department. The FRICKE Group bears the costs for the extra-occupational training.
Integration
The FRICKE Group has been working with the refugee aid organization in Heeslingen since October 2016. Since then, refugees from countries such as Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria and the Ivory Coast regularly complete internships throughout the company. For example, they work at FRICKE Landmaschinen in the workshop, at SAHIR Maschinenbau in assembly, at Hofmeister and Meincke in logistics and at GRANIT in the marketing department. In the meantime, these internships have resulted in several working and training relationships. We are very pleased about the success story of these committed people in our company.
In order to further promote integration, the FRICKE Group offers internal German courses for refugees and employees with little or no knowledge of German. In this way we want to reduce language barriers and motivate them to speak more German in order to further improve the working atmosphere.
Lebenshilfe
Bremervörde/Zeven
A strong partnership has existed for a long time between the FRICKE Group and Lebenshilfe Bremervörde-Zeven, founded in 1965. The FRICKE Group supports various Lebenshilfe projects to facilitate and improve the lives of people with disabilities.
Traditionally, the proceeds of the raffles at the Heeslingen Agricultural Machinery Show and the Tarmstedt Exhibition also go to Lebenshilfe. The FRICKE Group also regularly awards contracts to this association. There, articles from the GRANIT PARTS range are packed, sorted and labelled. This is also a valuable support for the employees of GRANIT.
Supporting athletics
Heeslinger SC
The Heeslinger SC, formerly TUS Heeslingen, is an integral part of the Heeslingen village community. For this reason, the FRICKE Group has been supporting the sports club for several decades. At the center of the support is the 1st men's team, which is active in Lower Saxony's upper league, as well as the club's youth soccer teams. In addition to jerseys, the FRICKE Group has also sponsored two new team buses of the FIAT brand in recent years.
Equestrian sports
In addition to the Heeslinger Sportclub, the FRICKE Group also supports selected horse shows in the Elbe-Weser region, such as the horse shows in Zeven and Verden.
